Reporting to the Senior Program Officer for Preferred Communities, the Program Specialist for Preferred Communities will support the work of the Preferred Communities (PC) team to fulfill the contractual requirements of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). This work will be carried out through data tracking, analysis and management, reporting, and management of LIRS systems. The Program Specialist will work closely with the PC unit to ensure data and outcomes are collected and used to inform programmatic decisions. This position requires a strong skillset in data management, reporting, and the tenants for the PC program with a goal of strengthening outcomes for the LIRS network.

DUTIES

  • Contribute to the successful achievement of the ORR's PC contractual requirements and programmatic outcomes. Support the PC team with monitoring activities the ensure quality assurance within the network.
  • Regularly complete data entry; Assist with tracking and analysis of network-wide data.
  • Contribute to LIRS quarterly reports, annual proposals, and annual audits to funders.
  • Maintain close relationships with LIRS's IT department in order to ensure continual quality reporting and improvements of extended reach (eR), the PC team's case management database.
  • Support the maintenance of the PC space on the LIRS extranet with current tools, updated forms, and resources.
  • Support the PC team with the dissemination of resources to the LIRS network. Manage contact lists and systems for updating.
  • Support unit activities, including annual conferences and network-wide training.
  • Work collaboratively across teams and units. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management or related field and 1-3 years of experience in non-profit management and/or social services or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Experience working with an Intensive Case Management program is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or limited English speakers, preferred. Ability to write and edit reports and clearly interpret technical requirements.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel, knowledge in database management, and other computer applications required.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Salesforce preferred.
  • This position will require managing several web-based platforms, including an LIRS extranet website.
  • Deep commitment to LIRS' core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 15% of the time.
