  • Ensure that all assigned youth on your caseload and under your supervision receive mandatory services while in care to include but not limited to mental health, medical, recreational, educational, and other supportive services in accordance with the time and documentation expectations of the program.
  • Develop and complete assessments, service and treatment plans, progress notes, incident reports, and any other necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Impart adequate and supportive supervision to Case Managers, ensuring that all child welfare and best practice standards are being observed.
  • Provide comprehensive training to new Case Managers.
  • Maintain accurate and current information on foster children in care, while ensuring contract and the program's internal documentation practices and reporting requirements are met.
  • Actively participate in weekly staff meetings with the clinical team and stakeholders.
  • Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing ongoing education and support services to foster parents.
  • Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to consult on cases, review case plan and direction, and evaluate client participation and progress.
  • Schedule meetings with assigned foster parents and foster children on at least a monthly basis and address any concerns in service delivery.
  • Translate both written and verbal communication for program clientele and staff if they are bi-lingual.
  • Maintain effective communication with community agencies or individuals involved in service provision.
  • Attend internal and external training and apply newly gained knowledge in providing quality case management services.
  • Attend and prepare for required court hearings (if applicable).
  • Transport clients on an as-needed basis.
  • Explore and establish collaborative relationships with community resources and refer Case Managers and families for support, as needed.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state, program, and agency regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work independently within the field.


  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field of study from an accredited college and 3 years of experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience.
  • Master's degree in Social Services or related field of study from an accredited college, highly preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in child welfare/case management is required. Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations is strongly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish required additional compensation for bilingual candidates.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities Mature and stable judgment as well as sensitivity to various cultures and the unique history of refugees.
  • Must maintain a broad knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of social work as acquired through a bachelor's level degree or professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress or in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Computer and typing skills are sufficient to perform essential job functions.
  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear individuals who do not speak English as their primary language. Additional Work Requirements.
  • Participate in a system of 24-hour availability to clients, foster and adoptive parents, as required.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
  • Unrestricted valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served, proof of current automobile insurance.
