Position Summary: Reporting to the Deputy Director for Children and Family Services (Family Reunification), the Associate Director for Training and Compliance is responsible for collaborative strategic planning and ongoing implementation of the programmatic and operational management of the training and compliance team. The Associate Director for Training and Compliance will be responsible for the implementation of strategic improvements and general oversight of training systems to ensure compliance with funder and agency requirements for all staff training within family reunification programs.

DUTIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and implementation for the training and compliance team to support program staff conducting training and compliance activities to ensure alignment with federal and LIRS standards.
  • Oversee the training and compliance team activities for family reunification programs including analysis of outcomes and effectiveness of created trainings/frameworks.
  • Coordinates strategic planning and overall implementation of program wide training plans and training frameworks for family reunification programs in compliance with all LIRS and federal funder training requirements.
  • Support the training and compliance team to identify systemic training needs and program challenges and create long term solutions that will enhance the delivery of program services in accordance with recognized child welfare standards, LIRS best practices, and LIRS/ORR policies and procedures implementation.
  • Oversee the coordination and ongoing implementation of the pre-services training for all HS/PRS headquarters and case management staff.
  • Assist with writing proposals for existing and new programs focusing on strategic implementation of training and developing frameworks for training to maintain compliance with training requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service field with a minimum of five years of experience in and knowledge of child welfare systems, principles, practices and emerging trends.
  • Five (5) years progressively responsible managerial experience including experience managing staff, volunteers, and/or interns.
  • Experience working with diverse client populations, particularly immigrants and refugees.
  • Experience managing and implementing training and e-learning focused curriculums within social services.
  • Experience in program development, administration, and budget oversight.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep commitment to LIRS' core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.

Special Position Requirements:

  • Must be willing and able to clear a criminal background check.
  • Must be willing and able to request and clear Child Abuse and Neglect background check in all states lived within previous 5 years, updated as required.
  • Must obtain a negative TB Test yearly.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain FBI fingerprint check every 5 years.
  • Spanish language fluency preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license and MVA check free of major infractions for the last 7 years.
