Reporting to the Vice President for Development and Mobilization, the Coordinator for Development and Mobilization will support LIRS in delivering administrative support for the Development and Mobilization team as well as coordinating efforts to help the team work in an efficient and successful way. From small project management to event planning, creating meeting agendas, and working with external donors and vendors, this is a critical role for a fast-paced and dynamic team.

DUTIES

  • Manages calendar including scheduling of meetings, flagging of important priorities related to the schedule, and assisting with gathering of relevant information/meeting materials.
  • Prepares Check Requests for Development and Mobilization departments and Expense Reports for department head.
  • Schedule calls and meetings for department head.
  • Assist in donor stewardship by making thank-you calls and sending thank-you cards when needed.
  • Engage with congregations, foundations and other partners in cultivating relationships towards sustainable funding.
  • Provide management of team meetings, schedules, projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as point-person for all external development inquiries.
  • Help create meeting agendas and manage development team schedule.
  • Assists with logistics for internal and external events including working with the Communications Department on marketing needs; Program Department for stories; Finance Department for accounting needs.
  • Usher projects involving outside vendors and partners to ensure smooth movement of initiatives on projects.
  • Manage and communicate calendar for externally facing departments.
  • Assist the Mobilization and Faith Relations team on programs and initiatives by creating seasonal and/or evergreen content and coordinating logistics.
  • Regularly record communications with donors and external partners in donor database.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two years of prior administrative support or coordinator work; undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated willingness to explore and learn new technology (hardware and software) to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in proofing communications and external emails and letters.
  • Proven ability to exercise utmost tact and diplomacy when dealing with confidential issues and ability to discern confidential issues.
  • Proficient in web communications technology, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, etc. Experience with Salesforce desirable.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic working environment.
  • Commitment to LIRS's core mission and values and an ability to model those values in relationship with colleagues and partners.
  • Proven ability to work well as a team.
